Boating and outdoor retailer West Marine filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and is closing 59 stores across 23 states. The restructuring affects one of its two Oregon locations—the Tigard store—with liquidation sales currently underway and running through late September.

The Florida-based West Marine cited significant headwinds driving the bankruptcy, including:
