Nvidia Strikes Deals With Korean Tech Titans for AI Infrastructure Buildout.

Nvidia has struck a series of strategic deals with South Korean technology titans to drive a massive AI infrastructure buildout. These partnerships encompass a multi-year memory supply and co-development agreement, the construction of gigawatt-scale AI cloud facilities, and the integration of Nvidia’s “physical AI” into robotics and automotive systems.

The key components of the infrastructure and hardware buildout include:

  • SK Group (SK Hynix & SK Telecom):

* AI Cloud: SK Telecom will build a gigawatt-scale AI cloud in South Korea using Nvidia’s DSX platform, with the first AI factory scheduled to go online in 2027.

* Memory Chips: SK Hynix entered into a multi-year technology agreement to co-develop and supply next-generation, advanced memory chips for Nvidia’s AI infrastructure, including upcoming Vera Rubin supercomputers.

  • Naver: The South Korean internet and cloud computing giant is expanding its sovereign AI infrastructure, moving from 55 megawatts to a gigawatt-scale operation using the Nvidia DSX platform, starting at its GAK Sejong facility.
  • LG Group: Nvidia and LG are collaborating across six business divisions focusing on robotics, autonomous driving, data center architecture, and South Korea’s sovereign AI model.
  • Hyundai Motor Group: Hyundai is deploying tens of thousands of Nvidia Blackwell GPUs across its smart factories for integrated AI training, autonomous driving, and industrial robotics.
  • Doosan Group: Doosan integrated with Nvidia as a physical AI and industrial partner, incorporating its energy solutions into Nvidia data centers and using Nvidia’s robotics simulation tools.
